In an effort to grow and expand business, Gwinnett's business community is looking to the Far East – specifically, to China. All year, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce has put forth great efforts to provide Gwinnett County businesses the opportunity to network and build global relationships with business leaders in China.

Gwinnett Chamber economic development leaders recently conducted their 2010 global business mission to China and Korea. Nearly 20 business delegates accompanied Gwinnett Chamber leaders over the course of 10 days as each sought opportunities for global expansion and foreign direct investment. The mission included international tradeshows, one-on-one meetings, and several opportunities for initial connections that would spur future growth and development. Most importantly, though, were the accomplishments realized while on this business mission to the rising super power of the East.

Gwinnett's high technology sector continues to grow and expand, evidenced by the strong presence of leaders like NCR and Hisense.

Each spring, the Gwinnett Chamber takes time to honor three groups of heroes that have more impact on our lives and quality of life than most of us realize. And while they contribute to our well-being in completely different ways, their hard work and sacrifice are worthy of our recognition and appreciation.

When the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce launched its Partnership Gwinnett economic development initiative in 2006, it was a significant and important step toward ensuring the county's prosperity. Today, three years and a major economic downturn later, the need for Partnership Gwinnett is nothing short of imperative. All Gwinnettians should be thankful the Chamber's leaders had the vision and foresight to launch this initiative–and the community had the good sense to embrace it.

Gwinnett has relocated two high quality Fortune 500 corporate headquarters to our community in less than a year. That is a unique accomplishment in economic development circles.
